The Questions

Straight answers before you start.

What is available, how I work, and what to expect before committing to a project.

What is Ollie Alley AI Studio?

Ollie Alley is my human-first AI studio in Whitehorse, Yukon. I work across business services, research and development, and public tools and resources.

Are the R&D projects finished products?

No. Each project is labelled according to its actual development and evidence state. A concept, candidate architecture, frozen prototype, or preliminary review is not presented as validated simply because development has progressed.

Can I download and use everything under Tools?

The SEW and C-SEW public overviews are available as individual PDFs. They explain the research and do not release the prototypes. Council OA Edition is a separate ZIP containing an advisory prompt, instructions, and terms.

Do we need to know anything about AI first?

No. I start with your work and explain the relevant tools and tradeoffs in plain language. Your knowledge of the job gives us the starting point.

Is this about replacing staff?

That is not the aim. Ollie Alley focuses on reducing administrative drag and improving support around people. Field experience, safety judgement, cultural knowledge, lived context, relationships, accountability, and consequential decisions remain human responsibilities.

What is the free AI Snapshot?

The first Snapshot is a focused, no-obligation review of one workflow. I look at how the work moves, recurring friction, and information gaps, then give you a practical summary of what may help and where to begin. No system is built or purchased during it. If AI does not make sense for the problem, I will say so.

What does paid work cost?

It depends on the scope. Any paid work is defined and priced clearly after the problem is understood, before you commit. The goal is to keep the first project proportionate to the value it could create.

What kinds of problems are a good fit?

Repeated follow-ups, scattered information, and documents rebuilt from scratch are useful starting points. So are an inconsistent brand, presentation materials that need organizing, or a content routine that is hard to sustain. I look for a specific problem and a proportionate way to help.

Can you work with the tools we already use?

I start by looking at your existing setup. What can be done depends on compatibility, available access, and the requirements of the work. I check those before recommending an integration or asking you to adopt another tool.

Will I need a paid AI subscription or other software?

That depends on the agreed solution. Some work can use what you already have; other work may require paid tools or ongoing subscriptions. I identify those requirements and costs before you commit to a project.

What does Brand + Presentation include?

I help with brand direction, consistency, reusable templates, presentations, electronic press kits, and promotional layouts, using your own creative work and appropriately licensed materials. Image work focuses on conventional editing and presentation. Generating original AI imagery is not part of my standard service; any proposed generative use would need a separate discussion about the source, permissions, and fit.

How do you handle privacy and sensitive information?

I begin with the minimum information needed and discuss data use, access, and tool boundaries before client material enters an AI-enabled workflow. Please leave confidential, sensitive, or regulated information out of your initial email. The privacy page explains the website and inquiry process.

Do you only work with organizations in Yukon?

No. I am based in Whitehorse and work locally and remotely across Canada. We can establish whether remote support fits the work before planning an engagement.

Do we have to get on a sales call?

No. Start by email. If talking would make the situation easier to understand, we can arrange a relaxed video meeting—never a surprise sales call.
